Suresh an F1 Student at Eastern Illinois University is in Masters Program for Computer Science. He was supposed to graduate in December, 2007. On August 14th 2007, Suresh met with an serious accident. He was admitted to ERLANGER hospital after the accident. We moved him from ERLANGER. Also read the news published at Journal Gazette and the Times-Courier site about this incident.

Some of the injuries from the accident include: Both Lungs Collapsed/ Punctured, Lacerations on his head, Broken right collar bone, Broken right shoulder, Fractured C4 spine,Completely broken rib-cage ( fractured to an inch) , Laceration to his spleen, Liver damaged, Broken hip, broken left arm, broken right ankle, Anoxic/Hypoxic injuries to his Brain. -- Major ( Lack of oxygen to brain due to initial blood loss and lack of breathing ability).

Suresh is recovering slowly, Although he is bed ridden he is still taking food through a pipe inserted into his stomach and unable to talk, he is highly determined and motivaed to come out of this condition. With the help of Doctors/Physio therapist and family members he is able to attend his daily exercises in the hospital. This has helped him immensly in the recovery process where he is sometimes able to recognize and communicate through actions.

Our family is ever thankful to the community/volunteers/TAMA/APNA oragnizations which came forward and are helping us get through these tough situations.

Upon submission of Hospital bills, TAMA has released some funds to suresh's health care costs in Hyderabad. This process will continue till suresh's recovery.

We will be updating the site with latest developments very soon. Please pray for Suresh's recovery. We need the community's prayers and well wishes.
